About Aurazen Life
“The warmth of her hands still lingers in my memory—the Tibetan grandmother who pressed a jade amulet into my palm, saying through gestures, ‘This will protect you.’ That moment in a Himalayan village changed everything.”
Welcome to Aurazen Life, where a transformative journey in Tibet became the foundation of everything we create. More than jewelry, we craft meaningful companions born from ancient wisdom, handcrafted intention, and a simple belief: in a fast-paced world, everyone deserves a little piece of peace.
Our Story: From Himalayan Villages to Your Life
It was 2019 when a snowstorm stranded our team in a remote Tibetan village at 13,000 feet. While we waited for the storm to pass, a local grandmother invited us into her yurt, where butter lamps cast warm light on walls hung with prayer flags. She didn’t speak English, but through smiles and gestures, she shared her most precious possession: a hand-knotted red string bracelet, worn smooth by years of touch.
“Protection,” she mouthed, placing it on my wrist. In that moment, I felt something I’d never experienced in New York’s fashion studios—jewelry that wasn’t just beautiful, but alive with purpose.
In the days that followed, I wandered through mountain monasteries, watching monks turn prayer wheels that hummed like whispered secrets. I visited markets where artisans spent hours carving lotus symbols into silver, explaining, “Every curve holds a prayer.” These moments revealed a truth: in Tibetan culture, jewelry is a bridge between the physical and spiritual—a daily reminder of what matters.
I returned home with a suitcase full of sketches and a mission: to bring this wisdom to others craving connection in a digital world. Thus, Aurazen Life was born. Our name blends “aura” (the unique energy we all carry) and “zen” (the calm we seek), because we believe your jewelry should reflect who you are and what you need.
Our Philosophy: Rooted in Tibetan Wisdom
Every choice we make traces back to that village in the Himalayas. Here’s what guides us:
1. Jewelry Should Mean Something
In Tibet, we learned that the most powerful objects carry intention. A pixiu pendant isn’t just metal—it’s a symbol of abundance. A jade bracelet isn’t just stone—it’s a promise of resilience. That’s why every Aurazen piece starts with a purpose: to attract luck, foster peace, or remind you of your strength.
2. Handcrafting = Heartcrafting
We’ll never forget watching Master Tsering, a 70-year-old silversmith, spend three days carving a single lotus pendant. “Hurry makes the spirit leave,” he said. Today, we partner with Tibetan artisans who honor this slow, intentional process. Every knot, every polish, every stone is placed by hand—because soul can’t be mass-produced.
3. Symbols Are Your Silent Allies
The Tibetan grandmother’s red string taught us: symbols speak when words can’t. We’ve preserved their most meaningful ones, reimagined for modern life:
- Lotus: Blooms in mud, just as you thrive through challenges
- Prayer Wheel: Spins to send positive energy, turning your daily moments into mindfulness
- Jade: Cool to the touch, a reminder to stay calm amid chaos
Our Craft: How We Create Your Pieces
Sourced with Respect
We work directly with small Tibetan workshops and ethical suppliers to source our materials. From vibrant cinnabar to translucent jade, every stone is chosen for its quality and energy. We pay fair wages to our artisans, ensuring their skills—and culture—thrive for generations.
Made by Hand, With Intention
No two Aurazen pieces are exactly alike—and that’s intentional. A single bracelet passes through 3-5 artisans: one selects the stones, another knots the cord with meditative focus, and a final craftsperson checks for perfection. These small imperfections? They’re proof of human hands and heart.
Infused with Positive Energy
Before shipping, every piece is cleansed with sage (honoring both Tibetan and Native American traditions) and charged with intentions. Whether it’s “peace,” “courage,” or “love,” we want your jewelry to arrive ready to support you.
Our Journey Continues
Today, our studio walls are lined with photos: Master Tsering holding the first Aurazen pendant he crafted; the Tibetan grandmother (now 82) wearing a bracelet we sent her as thanks; customers sharing how their Aurazen piece got them through tough days.
We still visit Tibet twice a year, bringing back new stories and collaborating with artisans to create pieces that honor tradition while fitting your life. And we donate 10% of profits to Tibetan craft schools—because preserving their wisdom means preserving a little more peace in the world.
Your Aurazen piece isn’t just a product—it’s a thread in our story, and now in yours.
